    Themed, "@ the Table," UMCRM's biennial cornerstone event will be hosted in 2019 at the Life Enrichment Center & Warren Willis Camp in Fruitland Park, Florida. Gather with camp and retreat ministry leaders from across the country for inspiration, education, fun, and fellowship. 


    We will explore our faith and our call as we celebrate, create, connect, and share with one another around the table.


    Rev. Junius B. Dotson, UMC General Secretary of Discipleship Ministries, will keynote. Rev. Melissa Cooper will join us as Bible study leader. Beth and Travis Allison of CampHacker/GoCampPro will teach and lead keynotes and workshops. We'll be mixing it up with a variety of worship and musical styles, so there will be a little something for everyone.


    This event is designed to be family-friendly (kids program is free!), and non-United Methodist camp leaders are warmly welcomed. 


    Legacy of Leadership scholarships are available for those with financial need.

    Partial payment is an option; final balances must be paid by 1/18/19. To pay part now, just send a check for the desired portion, noting invoice # on your check. To pay less than full balance by credit card, contact Jen Burch, Registrar, for assistance.


    Room & board for 4 nights + all meals: 

    Hotel rooms - $373 single, $293 double-occupancy
    Bunks, dorms, & cabins - $238, all shared-occupancy; linens $10 additional if needed
    Kids ages 4-9, $225 hotel-style, $209 camp-style

    Ground transportation will be provided to and from the Orlando International Airport (MCO). Book flights to arrive before 3:30 pm on Monday 1/28, departing after 11 a.m. on Friday, 2/1.

    Details about the Workshop:

    A 2019 ACA Accreditation Process Workshop will be offered as a National Gathering pre-Conference event, Monday, January 28th from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the Life Enrichment Center. It's open to all (you don't need to be UMC nor necessarily attending the Gathering to take part.) 


    This workshop is designed for camp representatives who are preparing for ACA accreditation visits in 2019 and beyond. It is appropriate for those who are new to the accreditation process AND those who have been part of an accreditation visit or completed standards training in the past. There's no "update" this year -- if your camp will be visited, someone from your ministry must take this full course.


    Register in two places:

    If you'll be attending the UMCRM Gathering, please note on that registration that you are planning to participate in the course. If you'd like to stay over at the Center on Sunday night, you're welcome; there's a very reasonable "Add A Sunday" option on the registration form that includes the overnight and meals.


    If you're NOT attending the Methodist event, you're still welcome to both attend the ACA course and even stay over Sunday night. Breakfast is available in the dining room at the Life Enrichment Center at 7:30 on Monday morning, and you're welcome to join. You may just pay for the meal at the front desk.

    Lodging rates: $65 single hotel-style room, $45 shared room

    Camping: $21 RV; $16 tent site

    Breakfast: $9.05

    2019 National Camp & Retreat Leaders Gathering

    "@the Table" 


    This is the primary education, training, professional and spiritual development, worship, fellowship, renewal event for all involved in United Methodist Camp & Retreat Ministry. This event only happens once every two years - you don't want to miss it!

    This year our vendor hall will have a "Mardis Gras" theme, with all the food and fun to go with it. Please feel free to join in! Laissez les bon temps rouler!

    Meals for Tuesday dinner, Wednesday breakfast and Wednesday lunch for two people are included with vendor registration.

    This once-in-a-lifetime ecumenical event will be held at beautiful Lake Junaluska in Western North Carolina. It is a collaborative project of the Outdoor Ministries Connection, an "association of associations" of mainline North American Christian camp/retreat/outdoor ministry leaders, including the UMCRM Association.


    The goals of RelationSHIFT are:

    • Recognizing the Holy Spirit will be present.
    • Affirming the various gifts we bring.
    • Finding common ground.
    • Navigating a changing landscape.
    • Figuring out how to journey together.
