"Welcoming Trans Youth into Outdoor Ministry" with Chris Rehs-Dupin

TQAMP founder and trainer Chris Rehs-Dupin invited us to move beyond fear and politics and refocus on what camps do best: meeting basic needs, building belonging, and practicing courageous love. Drawing from national data and TQAMP’s work with more than 80 camps, Chris named the real risks trans and nonbinary youth face, debunked common safety myths, and showed how clear policies around cabins, bathrooms, and supervision can protect all campers. He also shared tools for navigating caregiver concerns, centering your camp’s values, and becoming the affirming adults who may literally help save a young person’s life.
