You as a summer camp volunteer, are the backbone to your United Methodist summer camp program. You guide campers through faith formative experiences as well as directly oversee their safety.
This Camp Volunteer Masterclass, held from May 4-6, will offer timely education specific to camp volunteers such as counselors, deans, volunteer directors, chaplains, etc. As a participant you will receive a class content email each morning during the three-day course. The email will provide reminders and inspiration for the day. It will also include a link to access the course website. On the website, you will be welcomed with a video greeting from the course organizers. You will also find the day’s learning videos, which will take 20-30 minutes to view each day, plus bonus resources, and the link to that evening’s live group conversation. The content can be viewed at your convenience throughout the day. The one-hour live group conversations will be held at 8:30pm eastern / 5:30pm pacific time each evening during the course. The most valuable component of the Masterclass will be time spent in live group class discussions via Zoom. These live conversations will give you the opportunity to connect with other camp volunteers from across the country. These conversations will provide space for going deeper into each learning area, while also gaining fresh ideas from fellow volunteers.
The $45 registration fee provides you with three days’ worth of valuable content, bonus materials, and live conversations. You will also have long-term access to all of the course information through the course website. 100% of what you pay for this class will go toward the UMCRM Legacy of Leadership Fund, which provides continuing education scholarships to UM camp and retreat leaders!
Registration closes on May 2nd.
