Situated on the ancient ceremonial grounds of Chief Sealth and the Suquamish Tribe, among the evergreens and beaches of our Northwest saltwater paradise, Camp Indianola will be the perfect place for our executive network to gather. Indianola is located on the Kitsap Peninsula across Puget Sound from Seattle. Less than an hour from the Seattle or Edmonds ferry terminals, and Tacoma by car, Indianola features tall forests and incredible vistas of Puget Sound, the Seattle skyline, and Mount Rainier. Whether you like beach exploring, hiking through dense forest, kayaking, native American culture, or taking a trip into downtown Seattle, Camp Indianola is the perfect launching pad for many adventures.
While more rustic than we have experienced in recent years, Indianola provides comfortable lodging, meeting, and dining facilities. Among three separate lodges, most accommodations will be double-occupancy. Up to 10 single-occupancy rooms will be available on a first come-first served basis. Coleen Blazina, Indianola’s Food Service Director, specializes in Northwest-style cuisine using natural and organic local ingredients. Special meals will be gladly provided for those with alternative diets. Additionally, our proximity to the Seattle ferry service will provide for a wonderful night out on the Seattle waterfront one evening. Opportunities to come a day early or stay later are available as well.
Seven Levers:
We will be reflecting on Bishop Schnase's book Seven Levers: Missional Strategies for Conferences as part of our strategic planning time. We hope all participants will take time to read the book before the gathering. It's available from Cokesbury and in paper and e-book versions from Amazon.
Transportation:
Transportation from Sea-Tac airport will be scheduled at 2 and 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday; please schedule flight arrivals by 3:30 pm. The shuttle ride to Camp Indianola is approximately 1.5 hours. Departing flights should not be scheduled before 10 a.m. on Friday. There will be 2 departing transportation options from Indianola on Friday morning.
